More video in the works.

For Immediate Press Release:
The Kenda National Ultra Endurance (NUE) Series has added three events for 2011, bringing the total for its tentative schedule to 11 rounds. In addition to its eight established venues, the series will visit three additional western venues, including the epically demanding and challenging race in Alta, Wyoming - The Pierre's Hole 100.  Pierre's Hole, a mountain valley tucked up to the WY border on the western side of the Tetons, was once known as the strategic center for fur trade in the Northern Rockies. Today it is known as the strategic gathering place to ski unfathomable deep powder and ride some of the best unknown single track in the nation. On August 6th, 2011 Pierre's Hole 100 will provide this pleasure to the fortunate souls that have entered this epic race (journey). The race course is situated under the Le Tres Tetons, or the three Tetons (Grand, Middle, and South Teton); with single track loops at Grand Targhee Resort (GTR), the descending (Mill Creek) and the ascending of Teton Canyon via drainages wrapped with single track. The views are breathtaking as you will be racing under these magnificent peaks, albeit you may not see much of them while your HR reaches VO2 while climbing out of Teton Canyon.

Staging for the race is from the Grand Targhee Resort, where there is ample lodging and necessary ammenities available for racers. The Pierre's Hole 100 consists of a 25-mile loop, each lap features over 4600 feet of climbing on mostly single and doubletrack trails.  Racers may register for the 50 miler (2 laps) or the 100 miler (4 laps). Only the 100 mile race is part of the NUE series. The village at GTR will be full of pre and post party events, including a band after the awards.

Last years race profits provided a check to the non-profit Teton Valley Trails and Pathways (TVTAP). TVTAP is a non-profit whose efforts are focused on providing human powered connectivity throughout the valley. PH100 has the goal of doubling last years donation to this non-profit with the goal of supplimenting funding for future maintenance and enhancement of our wonderful trail system. We are committed to a sustanainable future with our network of trails and committed to supporting health of these systems through support to the stewards directly. Come help us make this donation bigger in 2011.

The 2011 Rendezvous for the Battle of Pierre's Hole 100 will take place on August 6, 2011. Registration will go live for the first 225 entrance on Monday March 7th at 7PM. Stay tuned here for detials.

By far the most fun and scenic race I've ever done. I had a smile on my face going through the wildflowers. Had I carried a camera, I would have stopped briefly to record the amazing panorama I was riding through. Great event! Thanks!
